What I like to tell our kids in our Jiu Jitsu program is, "Be disciplined so that you don't need disciplining."
Basically, take care of your business and you won't have to face parental wrath and get your devices locked up in the family safe.
This is the literal basis of good Jiu Jitsu training; train with diligence so that you don't get your butt kicked.

Being disciplined doesn't mean that you have to have a drill sergeant instructor telling you what kind of piece of trash you are. It means making a decision and sticking to it so that you can yield positive results. It's that easy.
I think training Jiu Jitsu makes being disciplined easy. It coaxes you to put the time, work and thought into what you're doing because it's just so damn enjoyable!
Being disciplined doesn't have to be a negative experience. As a matter of fact, it should be the most enjoyable thing you do.
